What I Did Friday

I started the day with prayer and devotion with hubby. We discussed going after peace based on the verse of the day:

Valentine's Day Gift Ideas under $50 w/ Free Shipping!

Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14th. With this holiday, some people get sad and depressed because it's considered a "lover's holiday". However, I believe even if you're single, you don't have to fret! Don't let one day get you down. There are plenty of things you can do with others and for yourself on this holiday. When I was a single mom, I sent myself flowers and I bought myself gifts every holiday because I was and am still worth it!
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Psalms 139:14

Technology and the Avon Lady

Over 125 years ago, Avon, the company for women (and a few good men) was born. In a time where women rarely worked outside the home, much less owned and operated their own business, our founder, David H. McConnell, established the company to provide women the opportunity for financial independence. He believed in empowering women and also giving back to the communities they served.
“All success lies in one’s self and not in external conditions. … Misfortunes are only a discipline, and there are possibilities which often are awakened by them which suggest to us the power and strength we possess, that perhaps otherwise would never have been recognized.” ~David H. McConnell
