On this 12th day of my self-care journey, I am reminded of the importance of waiting on God and drawing strength from His presence. Today, I reflect on the powerful promise of Isaiah 40:31 (NASB):
“Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.”
This verse fills me with hope and reassurance. When I feel weary—physically, emotionally, or spiritually—I don’t have to rely on my own strength. God renews me, giving me what I need to soar above life’s challenges.
As I nourish my body with a smoothie today, I reflect on how God nourishes my soul. Just as the fruits and nutrients in the smoothie fuel my body, God’s promises fuel my spirit, helping me move forward with energy and purpose.
I affirm these truths today:
• God is my source of strength and renewal.
• When I feel weak, I can turn to Him and be refreshed.
• Caring for my body and soul equips me to fulfill the purpose He has for me.
Lord, thank You for being my strength and my sustainer. As I nourish my body today, remind me to continually seek You for spiritual nourishment. Help me to wait on You with patience and trust, knowing You will give me the strength I need for every step of my journey.
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.” — Psalm 28:7a (NASB)
Amen.
