On Day 11 of my self-care journey, as we continue our church’s solemn assembly, I am reminded that God desires not only to bring order to my physical spaces but also to my heart. Today, I will take 10 minutes to declutter a space in my home and roast a medley of vegetables to nourish my body.
I draw encouragement from 1 Corinthians 14:33 (NASB):
“For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace.”
Decluttering my environment is an act of worship, reflecting God’s nature as a God of order and peace. As I tidy up, I’ll invite Him into the process, asking Him to declutter my thoughts and priorities as well. Just as I create more space in my surroundings, I pray to make more room for His presence in my life.
As I roast vegetables—filling my home with their warmth and aroma—I’ll reflect on how God’s provision nourishes my body and soul. Each colorful vegetable reminds me of His creativity and care, and I thank Him for the simple, wholesome gifts that sustain me.
I affirm these truths today:
• God brings peace and order to my life when I surrender chaos to Him.
• Decluttering isn’t just physical—it’s spiritual, making room for what truly matters.
• Nourishing my body honors God, who designed me with care and purpose.
Lord, thank You for being a God of peace and provision. As I declutter and nourish my body today, help me to do so with gratitude and joy. Fill my heart with Your presence, and guide me to live in a way that reflects Your love and order.
“Create in me a clean heart, God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” — Psalm 51:10 (NASB)
Amen.
