There’s something incredibly freeing about dancing, especially when it’s for God. This morning, I turned up some uplifting gospel music and let joy take over. As I moved, I thought about how King David danced before the Lord with all his might (2 Samuel 6:14). Dancing can be an act of worship, a physical expression of gratitude and praise for all God has done. The weight of stress lifted as I surrendered my worries through joyful movement.
God doesn’t just want our minds; He wants our whole selves, including our bodies. Taking care of my physical health is also an act of worship. I snacked on fresh pineapple today, appreciating the sweetness and refreshment it provided, much like God’s Word that nourishes my soul. The vibrant fruit was a reminder that God’s gifts are both abundant and delightful.
When was the last time you danced without reservation? Even if it’s just for five minutes in your living room, I encourage you to move freely in God’s joy. Let gratitude flow through every step and movement.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of joy. Help me to worship You with my whole heart, mind, and body. May my joy be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness. Teach me to celebrate life, even in the midst of challenges. Amen.
