Today is a snow day, and as I work remotely, I’m reminded to slow down and embrace the blessings of this quiet moment. On this day of my self-care journey and our church’s solemn assembly, I choose to reflect on God’s goodness and express gratitude for His many gifts.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NASB) encourages me:
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”
Even in the stillness of a snowy day, I see reasons to be grateful. Writing down three things I’m thankful for helps me refocus my heart and mind on God’s provision. Gratitude opens the door to joy, reminding me of how God works in every season of life—quiet and busy, challenging and peaceful.
As I snack on fresh fruit, I’ll let it symbolize the sweetness of God’s blessings. His goodness is evident in the simplest things, and I want to treasure them fully.
I affirm these truths today:
• Gratitude shifts my focus from what I lack to the abundance God provides.
• Every moment, even a snowy day, is an opportunity to experience God’s love and care.
• By giving thanks, I align my heart with God’s will and invite His joy into my life.
Lord, thank You for this snow day—a time to pause and reflect on all You’ve done for me. As I write down what I’m grateful for, help me to see Your hand in both big and small ways. May my gratitude glorify You and fill my heart with peace.
“This is the day which the Lord has made; let’s rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (NASB)
Amen.
